How to Make Your Children’s Playhouses Safe

   

Children spend a lot of time in their playhouses. It has become an extension of their rooms. It serves not only as their hide-out but as a comfort zone as well. They would bring not only their friends but also foods, toys, even their school things and other various things that they would fancy. While these play hut could be your children’s best friend, it could also endanger them. Through time, these childrens playhouse impose a lot of threats to your kid’s health if left unclean, fire-prone or unchecked from time to time.

Here are some tips to make your children’s playhouses safe:

  • Teach your kids to clean their playhouse. Your kids will be the inhabitants of the playhouse that is why you should teach them how to take care of their playhouse disney. Arrange the cabinets where they could place some of their stuffs. Items like toys, books, clothes which have a natural place inside your house must be removed from the playhouse as they occupy a lot of space. These things can also cause minor accidents and may give a start for major accidents such as fires. Provide them with a trashcan where they can throw their foods or cut papers they used for playing. Make sure that the waste basket is emptied every day to prevent the trash from accumulating and to avoid attracting insects.

  • Make sure that there are no hiding places of insects such as bugs, ants and mosquitoes. Bites of these insects cause diseases especially to young kids. Spray insecticide when your kids are gone to make sure that harmful insects do not dwell in your playhouses. Kids can be very careless when playing and may bring some harmful organisms inside their playhouses like earth worms and cockroaches for their little experiments. Throw things that attract attention of these insects such as food left-over, stock of waters and unclean cabinets.

  • Remove broken glasses, shattered toy cabinets, sharp edges that may cause accidents. Make sure that the appliances you brought inside the playhouses are in good working condition. Check if all the electric sockets are properly working and that no loose wires are exposed. Check if the light bulbs are still reliable and gives the proper lighting for the playhouse.

  • Change your playhouse’s curtains, and bed sheets that have accumulated dusts through time. Change it as often as possible to maintain the cleanliness of the playhouse.
    o Check your children’s playhouses at least once a week to ensure that your kids had been following your rules. It is also better that you personally know that the playhouses are clean, organized and are safe for your kids and their friends.

Accidents happen even at home. Make sure that your children’s playhouses are safe from any kind of accident. Clean as often as possible and remove things that may cause accidents for the kids. But most importantly, teach them to be responsible for their playhouses. Teach them the value of maintaining cleanliness and organized things at their playhouses to avoid accidents.
