This summer when the kids
are on a long break from their schooling, see to it that the place
where the children backyard
play house in your yard is a safe location where you can feel
assured that nothing untoward will happen to them. It will be tragic
to let something happen you could very well avoid, that could bring
any harm to the children while they are enjoying their long school
vacation.
Have the area where the children play
house as much as possible far away way to the back of your compound,
safely away from the road. This is to ensure that no vehicular accident
will happen to the kids, especially if the road fronting your house
has considerable vehicular traffic during the day.
You must have put up beforehand a structure resembling a house (maybe
a toy play
house disney you bought earlier from the furniture store in
the mall nearby) where the kids will be romping around all day.
Check that the assembly of the knockdown parts of the play
house kit done well to ensure there are no protruding nails
in any of its parts that could cause scratches and other injuries
to the kids. If you had used wires to tie together certain portions
like the major beams instead of nailing them together, be sure that
the terminals of the GI wires are well hidden back into the lumber
and not protruding out as these wire ends can also cause cuts on
any part of the kids' bodies.
You know how energetic the kids are; every movement they make seem
to be always on the run, and chances are quite high they will ram
themselves against the protruding nails or wires sticking out of
the walls or any other part of their childrens
play house. The boys especially are bound to meet these kinds
of accidents getting cuts and bruises as they run around, much more
than the girls.
You must ensure the proper assembly of the kiddy furniture, usually
part of the playhouse you bought, and checked thoroughly that they
are strong enough to withstand the kids' rough handling of the kiddy
chairs and tables. No sticking nails or GI wires should be present
also in the kiddy furniture.
To be positively sure of their safety, the place where the children
play house should not have electrical outlets reachable by them
to avoid accidental electrocution on any of the kids. Some kids
cannot just resist the temptation of sticking something into the
outlets especially if you warned them previously. The prohibition
could arouse even more their curiosity. If there would be electrical
outlets in any part of the play area, cover them properly with electrical
tapes not easily removed by the curious tykes.
There is nothing like safety first for the kids in your area designated
as the place where the children play house. It can be traumatic
all their lives later as adults if they meet accidents now that
they are just playing and trying to find out how it is to be living
in their own real houses later in the future. |
